Know the Facts – You will need a computer with a video camera and microphone or the myPriva app downloaded on your mobile device. Virtual visits are appropriate for a variety of care needs, including urgent care (e.g., sinus problems, respiratory infections, allergies, cold), routine follow-up visits, chronic disease management, medication management, reviewing test or lab results, and lifestyle coaching. Most commercial insurers cover virtual visits but Medicare and Medicaid are unlikely to cover this service. See the frequently asked questions below for additional detail.
